July so sad to say goodbye

so i've worked all afternoon and now to your delight, pictures all the way back from the winter months. Go back, go way back, after you read this post.
summer is quickly fading, it's hard to say goodbye
Sylvia is spoiled to have such talented family, my mom made this beautiful outfit for her and my sister her bracelet.

Birthday Girl

So we celebrated 2 times, one early and one on her birthday. See, here she's digging in! 2nd time around I made the cake.

No really, the cake tasted amazing, it's just that Sylvie is into this spitting thing now, and i think she had too much frosting.

My baby girl turns 1

beware readers: insane number of photos ahead, you must go back way back, it has taken me a few hours but go back to January to catch up. Ok that housekeeping done continue on to the party ahead! so my sweet sister A made this awesome cake and cookies for my baby.

Leading up to this moment, I'll have to admit. There were times it was hard to breathe. It's really hard to imagine my life without babies, being pregnant, the excitement of labor and the small bundle that depends so much on you. The long nights, the first smiles, sitting, crawling, standing, new teeth, ok we are not walking yet, so i'm good there. But really, you must know what i mean. I really was in denial for pretty much the full month leading up to it. So it happened, Sylvia turned one, 1:30 passed marking the moment a year earlier when she finally emerged. Let me tell you the last one went out with a bang. 16 hour labor, on pitocin, never fully dilating is pretty crazy, but i'd do it all over today, this very moment. Really are you hearing me, i will, right now, ok, come down from it. Sigh, it's been an amazing year. Love you Sylvia, you are so sweet! and you'll always be my baby!

July

We took the bigger kids downtown and watched the fabulous fireworks display! Naomi likes to "watch" Sylvia and we found her enjoying a ride in the jeep. The first of many exciting times with Naomi I'm sure.

June - the month that keeps on giving

Yay it's May

the kids finish out school. Wow can't believe another year has gone by. Naomi finished preschool, next stop Kindergarten. The boys start baseball, Noah pitching. Ollie catching. Let's all scream for icecream. So thankful for all my kids this Mother's Day!

in other news Silas gets his first haircut, the jeep comes out, Naomi gets sunglasses and i break my toe. Yea the picture doesn't do it justice. I was getting in the back of the car to hook Silas in and jammed it under the seat. Let's just say it was pretty painful. Took about 2 months to feel normal again. Yea, don't try that at home. Broken toe doesn't mix with 5 kids and summer quickly approaching
